The UP School of Economics invites the public to a Brown Bag Seminar featuring Ma. Judy Ann B. Padillon, PhD candidate at the UP School of Economics.
The seminar, titled “Firm Effects and Earnings Inequality in the Philippines,” examines how differences in firm pay premiums contribute to earnings inequality and its decline in the Philippines. Using data from the Occupational Wages Survey covering 2016–2022, the study examines the roles of firm effects, occupation effects, and worker sorting in shaping earnings inequality.
