A refreshed space is taking shape at the UP School of Economics (UPSE) as the school unveils its newly transformed UP School of Economics Knowledge Center.
The space has undergone a major transformation to create a more functional and welcoming environment where members of the UPSE community can focus, collaborate, learn, and create. The improvements are intended to support the School’s academic and research activities while providing a space that responds to the evolving needs of its community.
More than a facility upgrade, the transformation reflects a renewed vision for the space as an environment for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and academic engagement. The Knowledge Center provides students, faculty, researchers, and other members of the academic community with a place where ideas can come together and meaningful work can take place.
Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals
The Knowledge Center’s transformation contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by strengthening the environment in which education, research, innovation, and collaboration take place.
In particular, the initiative supports:
- SDG 4 – Quality Education: by providing a conducive space that supports learning, academic engagement, and knowledge development.
- SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: by improving infrastructure that enables research, innovation, and the exchange of ideas.
- SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: by contributing to the development of inclusive, functional, and sustainable learning spaces.
The newly transformed Knowledge Center offers a glimpse of what is ahead for the UPSE community. With its renewed space and purpose, it aims to become a place where learning, ideas, and collaboration continue to thrive.
The Philippine Center for Economic Development (PCED) continues to support initiatives that contribute to the development of UPSE’s academic, research, and learning environment.
