January 28, Mandaluyong City – The Board of Trustees of the Philippine Center for Economic Development (PCED), chaired by DEPDev Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan, met to strengthen policy direction, ensure fiscal sustainability, and align organizational priorities in support of the UP School of Economics (UPSE) programs in research, teaching, and training.
During the meeting, the Board approved key resolutions, including:

Updates to the organizational structure

Creation of plantilla positions to enhance academic, research, and training support

Approval of the FY 2026–2027 budget
-
Progress on the rehabilitation of PCED facilities and implementation of new IT systems to improve operations, data management, and cybersecurity
Senior officials from the Office of the Executive Secretary, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Budget and Management, Department of Finance, and UPSE leadership were also present.
